What we set out to fix

Tetrabuild Services Limited (TSL) is a registered Ugandan company, incorporated in 2019 as a private limited company with its main operations in Uganda.

The firm was established to bridge a gap in quality service delivery on engineering projects. Our aim is to be the leading firm in the region for high-end construction works and supplies, using sustainable, innovative and cost-saving solutions.

Through a team of young and vibrant employees, we work to ensure clients are satisfied with what we deliver. Works are undertaken in the most efficient way available in order to save time and money while holding quality where it needs to be.

We understand that this is a fast-changing global economy. We equip our staff with current software and knowledge of engineering innovations from across the world, because governments across the continent are adopting cost-effective and time-saving solutions and there is no advantage in being the last firm to learn them.

Tetrabuild has completed multiple significant projects and is currently engaged in design, project management, supervision and implementation across several engineering and construction disciplines: general building construction, civil works supporting road, bridge and dam projects, specialist works in aluminium, gypsum, carpentry and steel fabrication, scaffolding and formwork supply and installation, general waterproofing and rising damp repairs, and the supply of construction materials.

2019

Tetrabuild Services Limited incorporated

Registered in Uganda as a private limited company to address a gap in quality service delivery on engineering projects.

2020

Specialist materials division established

Began stocking Sika and Xypex waterproofing systems in Kampala, cutting import lead times for contractors.

2021

Geosynthetics and road products added

Geotextiles, geogrids, gabions and guardrails brought into stock to support road and bridge programmes.

2022

Formwork and scaffolding division launched

Steel props, H-frame, KwikStage and tubular systems added for both sale and hire, with erection crews.

2023

Nationwide delivery network

Delivery extended to project sites across all four regions of Uganda.

2024

Crystalline waterproofing partnership

Xypex crystalline systems added, giving clients a negative-side option on existing structures.

2026

Digital ordering launched

Online ordering, proforma invoicing and delivery tracking opened to contractors and site teams.

Standards

How we run the business

Every package runs against a method statement and an inspection and test plan, with defined hold points that require sign-off before the next activity starts. Testing is documented and handed over with the works, not reconstructed afterwards.

Scaffolding and access equipment is inspected and certified before handover. Crews working at height, in confined spaces or with chemicals are briefed and equipped for the specific task. Incidents are recorded and reviewed rather than absorbed.

We encourage employees to participate in decision-making as part of building a staff-managed organisation. A highly motivated team produces higher quality work, and the people on site usually know first when something is not going to work.

Staff participate in continuing professional development and industry conferences. Relevant, innovative solutions require current knowledge, and the field moves faster than any single project teaches.

Our commitment extends to beneficiary communities around the projects we deliver. We employ locally where we can and hold ourselves to the same conduct standards on a district road as on a Kampala tower.

We adhere to strict financial discipline so that client projects and contracts are handled competently within the agreed budget and stipulated contract sums, without cash-flow pressure being transferred onto the works.
