TETRABUILD Services Limited was contracted by National Housing to supply and install Aluminium Partitions to 5No Floors at the Crested Towers Building in the Kampala City Centre. These partitions were meant to form the new National Housing offices for the various management departments within the company.
The works commenced in August with strict deadlines and timelines to beat as the company had to urgently vacate their current office space on the 7th Street Industrial Area. The challenges involved working day and night for the site teams in order to beat the target.
Furthermore, given that aluminium fabrication works are noisy, we were unable to work during the official work hours (8 am – 5 pm) as other building tenants (mostly cooperate offices) needed a silent workspace. We had to resort to night operations mostly (5.30 pm to 7 am) to achieve the targets.
