Waterproofing

Rising damp repairs with Dryzone; flat slabs, basements, retaining walls and reservoirs waterproofed.

Overview

Water is the most expensive thing that can get into a building. Tetrabuild diagnoses the actual mechanism — rising damp, penetrating damp, hydrostatic pressure or condensation — and applies the system that addresses it.

Diagnosis before specification

Rising damp and penetrating damp look alike and need different treatments. We establish which one you have first.

Applied by the people who supply it

We stock the systems we install, so the specification is not limited by what a distributor happens to carry.

Guaranteed workmanship

Applied systems are backed by a workmanship warranty alongside the manufacturer’s product warranty.

Scope of works

  • Rising damp repairs using Dryzone injection cream
  • Flat slab and roof deck waterproofing
  • Basement and lift pit tanking
  • Retaining wall waterproofing
  • Water tank and reservoir lining
  • Leak sealing and remedial waterproofing

Who this is for

  • Owners of buildings with active leaks or rising damp
  • Main contractors needing a specialist waterproofing package
  • Facilities teams working around occupied space

How we run it

Work process: from first call to handover

The same six stages on every job, in this order, because on a construction project the order genuinely matters.

01

Consultation

We listen to the requirement and tell you plainly whether we are the right firm for it.

02

Site visit

An engineer attends site to establish real conditions rather than assumed ones.

03

Quotation

A priced, itemised quotation with the specification stated, not a lump sum.

04

Planning

Programme, method statement, materials schedule and site logistics agreed before mobilisation.

05

Execution

Directly employed crews, supervised, with progress reported against the programme.

06

Completion

Testing, snagging, handover documentation and warranty issue.

Questions

Before you ask us

Rising damp shows as a tide mark to roughly one metre above floor level, with salt staining and perished plaster. Penetrating damp is patchy and tracks rainfall. We survey before quoting, because the treatments are entirely different.

Yes. Active leaks are plugged with rapid-set hydraulic cement, then the structure is treated with a crystalline or membrane system depending on the water pressure and finish required.

Applied waterproofing carries a workmanship warranty in addition to the manufacturer’s product warranty. Terms depend on the system and the condition of the substrate, and are stated in the quotation.
